Our Sister Parish, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Saikeri, Kenya On January 7, 2019, Baraka (Blessing) Kindergarten School opened in Saikeri. The school was built with funds provided by an anonymous donor from our parish. The school, for children ages 3-6, is modeled on the very successful school that has been run for several years at Father John Fortune’s main parish in Ewuaso Kedong, Kenya. The school provides the children not only with an early education, but also with nutritional meals during the day that they would be unlikely to have at home.
